A daily update is a report on progress, changes, or events that occur on a regular basis. For example, a team might provide daily updates on project developments during morning meetings.
You can enable daily updates for your Action by configuring an intent that matches this description. When users invoke this intent, they receive a notification and follow a registration prompt—which you can display mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action successfully—to register their device with Assistant to get these updates at a scheduled time each day.
To increase your users’ engagement with daily updates, design a clear value proposition and show the benefit to them immediately after they trigger your intent. You should also avoid repeated suggestions to register, as this might annoy your users and lead them to unsubscribe from your Action. Daily updates appear as notifications on Android and iOS devices, and are supported on voice-activated speakers and smart displays that run the Google Assistant app. They do not appear on Chromecast devices.
